East Coast “Swatchways Weekend” at
Burnham-on-Crouch

For the third year, Vice Commodore Michael Wilkey arranged a rally at Burnham-on-Crouch with the Royal Burnham Yacht Club, this year over the weekend of 13-15 July 2007.

Because the weather was so foul, the usual barbecue on the Friday night was cooked on the balcony but eaten in the dining room.

The racing on Saturday, for which there were 5 entries, was delayed by 15 minutes to allow Alan Taylor in Tinker T to arrive from Ipswich. After an exhilarating race (although the wind had dropped considerably), this was the time by which he beat the other competitors!

Dinner on Saturday night was again an enjoyable affair. The Admiral, Sir Clive Martin, presented the Robert Green Trophy for first place to Alan Taylor (left) and the Sir Robin Gillett Cup for second place to Michael Grayburn (below left). Mari McMorrough-Kavanagh presented the McMcMorrough-Kavanagh Cup for third place to David Davidson.
