The CLYC agreed in December to adopt Lucy MacGregor and encourage its members to help support her in her aim to compete in the 2012 Olympics.
Lucy, with her crew, Annie Lush and Ally Martin (seen left), have been moved to No1 in the ISAF world rankings as a result of their performance in Miami, where they ended French champion Claire Leroy's five-year reign at the top of the world rankings.

Lucy, until two years ago, crewed for Shirley Robertson in the Yingling class, but has now, with Annnie and Ally, won the inaugural ISAF World Cup in the class and won 18 out of 19 races at the Rolex Miami OCR Regatta to clinch the silver medal.
UPDATE: You can view an article by Richard Donkin of the Financial Times, who raced with Lucy and Ally, by clicking here (page 1 and page 2). See Peter Jeary's May report and the June one, presented to the Regatta in Burnham on Crouch on 26 June (pages 1, 2, 3).
